What is Moose Moose?
Moose Moose is a safe and easy online marketplace where outdoor lovers can buy, sell, and trade new or used outdoor gear—from skis and tents to backpacks and boots.
Is it free to join?
Yep! Creating an account is 100% free. As one of our early users, you’ll also enjoy zero fees for your first 60 days on all Trades.
Are there any fees?
When your item sells, there's a 7% fee that is deducted from your sale price. (e.g. $20 sale = $18.60 profit).
About half of that fee goes to credit card processing. As one of our early users, you’ll also enjoy zero fees for your first 60 days for all trades. Following the 60 day Trade Free period, the provider of the item is charged a nominal fee of $2 for accepting a trade offer.

Every month we give away awesome outdoor gear (think Garmin watches, camping gear, and more). You earn entries by doing things like:

How do I sell gear?
- Sign up
- List your item with photos, condition, and price
- Wait for someone to buy or trade
- Ship it out or meet up (your choice)
- Get paid!
How do trades work?
If you see something you like that's listed for Trade, you can offer your own item(s) in exchange. Both parties must agree before the trade goes through. It’s a great way to score gear without spending a dime.
Do I have to ship my item?
Nope. Moose Moose lets you choose between:
- Shipping via trusted carriers
- Local pickup to connect with folks near you
How do payments work?
Buyers pay securely via our platform. Once the item is shipped and received, sellers get paid securely through Stripe to the bank account provided on your Moose Moose account.
What’s your return policy?
Since Moose Moose is a peer-to-peer marketplace, all sales are final unless otherwise agreed upon between buyer and seller. We always recommend clear photos and honest descriptions to keep things smooth. For items purchased from businesses, Moose Moose will always defer to the Seller's Return & Exchange policies.
How do you keep things safe?
We verify users, monitor activity, and offer in-app messaging so you can communicate before any transaction. Plus, our team is always here if something seems off.
